第九季开始和之前的八季风格有很大不同。
之前八季是把波罗按照一个职业侦探的模式改编的，一般都有黑斯廷斯、杰普和波罗的女秘书莱蒙小姐出现，尽管他们在那些作品的原著里不一定出场。 第九季开始，这些人物都消失了，作品的气氛也有了很大改变。 |

个人觉得：
《罗杰·艾克罗伊德谋杀案》，是我所见到阿婆小说里最让我出乎意料的结局，我压根也没猜到凶手竟然会以第一人称自叙，从一开始就迷惑住了我。大卫演的剧情一般，太直接，完全没有了小说中的迷惑感。 《死亡约会》，原著我觉得写得很精彩，是我非常喜欢的阿婆一部作品。彼得。乌斯蒂诺夫也曾主演过，可惜彼得版的片子改编得厉害，拍得又太差，无法与原著相比，让我大失所望。 《啤酒谋杀案》，又叫《五只小猪》，是我觉得大卫演的波洛中最精彩的几部之一了。渲染氛围、改编、镜头运用上相对来说都还算不错，值得一看。 |

《尼罗河上的惨案》、《阳光下的罪恶》，彼得版群星荟萃，服饰考究，为大卫版所不及。但大卫版的《尼罗河上的惨案》人物剧情更符合原著，虽人物也有删减。另分析案情回忆时的拍摄手法，角度为俯视，个人也很喜欢。
